Salt and Pepper Tofu

Salt and Pepper Tofu

Salt and pepper tofu is a popular Chinese dish that is crispy on the out side and fluffy in the inside and can be ready in 30 minutes. This recipe is my favorite way to enjoy tofu that’s is pack full of flavor.

Why do you simmer tofu in water

There is 2 reason why i simmer tofu in water, first reason is it allow salt to penetrate the inside of the tofu allowing it to absorb the seasoning and make less bland on the inside.

The second reason is that the salt water firm up tofu a little more allowing it to stay fluffy when frying.
