Horchata recipe
Making horchata at home is super easy and delicious specially around spring and summer, even though there many version of horchata this recipe is the Mexican rice base drink.
WHAT IS HORCHATA?
Horchata is a very popular drink in many regions around the world like Mexico there base is made with rice, cinnamon, water, vanilla, and condensed sweetened milk, Spain is tiger nut(chufas) based, and El Salvador has an almond base. But all of them are Sweet, and refreshing that work perfectly for hot summer days.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 4 cups Water
- ——- ———- ———————————————————-
- 1 can Sweeten Condense milk
- 1 can Evaporated milk
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tbsp Ground cinnamon (you can use 3 sticks of cinnamon)
Instructions
- Serve cold for best taste
HOW TO MAKE HORCHATA
INSTRUCTION
1. Place rice and water in a bowl and allow to soak overnight, this will help rice soften up a little.
2. After soaking over night place rice and water from the bowl into a blender and blend until smooth.
3. Strain the blended rice water into a pitcher full of ice, and add condense milk, evaporated milk, cinnamon, milk, vanilla extract, and water, then stir with a spoon well and serve and enjoy.
